On Wednesday, March 11th, we hosted an in-depth workshop with Lorenzo Zini and Giorgio Cammi from KPMG, offering students a closer look at the core of NPE and structured finance, a discipline where financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and deleveraging strategies come together inside the world of corporate finance.
The session explored the fundamental dynamics of credit quality and the regulatory frameworks that shape the banking industry today. We examined the strategic approaches used to manage non-performing exposures and the valuation methodologies that drive investor interest in distressed assets. Through a practical case study, we also analyzed different deleveraging strategies, evaluating their impact on a bank’s financial position and key performance indicators.
We are grateful to Lorenzo Zini and Giorgio Cammi for leading an inspiring and insightful workshop and for sharing their professional experience with such clarity and expertise.
